The site of this residence features nature heavily, but exists in an urban context. The idea behind this project was "urban sanctuary," featuring nature while nodding to urban sensibility. The result is a minimalist orchestration of simple materials - primarily wood, concrete, and glass - organized into carefully thought out private and public living spaces. The building's parti perches the residents in trees, sheltered by the site, but with a beautiful view of the urban landscape.
